. . . I am playing
cuts off of Jennifer's CD nearly everyday. All 7 songs are great and
we look forward to her stopping by the station the next time she is
in the area. . . . It starts
with two contemporary country gems, the title track and "Southern
Comfort." Then she shows off her traditional country song writing
skills with "It Was Only the Wine" (with a little salsa beat
mixed in for fun) and "Time I Stopped Lyin," which could have
been written by Loretta Lynn in her prime. Jennifer's writing
skills really knocked me out. "Girl" singers seem to get lost
in the shuffle of great Texas performers, and I'd hate for this one
to meet this fate. Bottom line
is that "Pleasant Detour" will be getting airplay in Dallas.
I Played "It Feels Like Your Still Here" right off the bat
(a cool song with Cory Morrow). Then I went home and listened to the
entire CD and was mildly surprised that the rest of the CD was awesome.
